D3 5000 IU is an extra strong vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) from algae that is a vegan source. It suits us well who live in dark, northern countries. Vitamin D is fat-soluble and needs fat to be absorbed optimally. Because of this, this product contains MCT oil in powder form.

In the Nordic countries, we often lack vitamin D as it can be difficult to get enough, especially between October and April when the sun's rays are too low. During this period, we also wear more clothes and we are usually indoors more. Vitamin D is a vitamin that we can get too little of and is therefore recommended as a supplement.

Vitamin D is needed for several different functions in the body. It is important for, among other things, regulating the calcium balance in the skeleton and is also important for your immune system.
