Long history
The company was founded in 1980 and we therefore have extensive experience in developing products that actually work. You should therefore be able to feel safe when you buy food supplements from us.
Certifications
To ensure the quality of our products, we ensure that the production is certified for safe food supplements. We are organically certified and are also members of Näringslivet's producer responsibility.

With us you will find a large selection of vegan products. Look for the vegan logo on our products to ensure vegan content. We make sure to offer vegan products as far as possible.

Our purpose is to help and educate people in what they can do themselves to feel better, have more energy, be more energetic and stay healthy, by delivering good high-quality products and providing good information connected to nutrition and longevity.

We specialize in supplying high quality nutritional supplements, vitamins, minerals and other health products. We are passionate about health and well-being. As a customer, you should always feel safe with our range and with our brand without having to skim the list of ingredients.
Our history
The company Bättre Hälsa was established in 1980.
In 1990, our own store was opened at Östermalm in Stockholm.
In 1994, our e-commerce vitaminer.nu was estalished and thus dietary supplements were made available to all of Sweden.
During the 2010s, the company grew bigger and we got several hundred retailers and therapists who used and sold our products around the Nordics.
In 2022, all our products were relaunched, now under the brand Närokällan.
Närokällan is today represented in most physical health food stores, online health food stores and pharmacies in Sweden and in several Nordic countries.

Organic certification
We are organic certified by KIWA, which controls organic foods on behalf of the Swedish Food Administration.
This means that we handle, import, and sell organic products.
With this certification, high demands are placed on us for the control and handling of organic products, ensuring that you can be confident in the high quality of the products.

HACCP-certification
We operate according to HACCP. HACCP stands for 'Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points,' which in Swedish means 'Risk Analysis for Critical Control Points' and represents a method for ensuring food safety.
By identifying and analyzing potential hazards in food production, HACCP certification can establish critical control points where risks can be controlled and minimized.
By following the HACCP protocol, we as a food company can improve the quality and safety of our products, protect consumers' health and meet regulatory requirements.
HACCP certification is considered a global standard for food safety and is essential for companies striving to maintain the highest standards in the food industry.
Our suppliers
We set very high standards for our raw material suppliers and conduct ongoing supplier assessments. We require our suppliers to be certified for the manufacturing of safe dietary supplements. Relevant certifications include ISO, GMP, and registration for control with the pertinent authorities.
The production facilities are certified according to standards such as ISO 22000, ISO 9001, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and IP-Food. Our products are tested by independent laboratories to ensure that the content matches what is stated on the label.
The tests examine purity and check for the absence of toxins, heavy metals, bacteria, and contaminants to ensure high quality and safety for our customers.
Vegan products
Närokällan endeavors to develop vegan products in its range as much as possible. With less resource use and lower environmental impact compared to traditional alternatives, vegan products offer a sustainable solution.
When our products carry a vegan logo, they contain no animal products, either in content or in production.
Our products are also not tested on animals.
